Well what a great music festival here in Looe a major event hosted in a small coastal cornish town in South East Cornwall "LOOE". One of the best weekends the town has had.

Holiday Time

With a slower start to the season july saw slightly less Holiday lets being taken although Looe was busy as ever, the camping parks seem to be very busy and now mid August Looe seem's full with no holiday lets available on the247Tourist until almost September.

The stay-cation in Cornwall is a very reasonable option for your annual holiday, fuel prices may be high but with the modern fuel efficient car a trip to Cornwall is very reasonable compared to traveling flying or driving abroad. Cornwall with it's stunning Coastline, fishing towns and villages, majestic moors and high class restaurants all makes that memorable holiday in the UK.

Looking forward to the rest of the season it just may be a late summer and with late availability and internet you may just pick up a very attractive offer for the late holiday or short break.

Looe Festival by the sea 2011

Looe Festival by the sea 2011, the festival linking Looe to the sea with Grazing on East Looe Quay by some of the best restaurants in Looe and South East Cornwall.

A Royal Navy & RNLI demonstration rescue from the bay at Looe and not forgetting the raft Looe Raft Race always great fun to see a take part in, the bay and harbour are alive with all sorts of craft.

The Looe Lugger Regatta

Saturday 4th June Sunday 5th June saw the the Looe biannual Lugger Regatta. Lugger racing in Looe bay.

Looe bay and harbour as it used to be in times gone by when these magnificent sailing fishing boats filled the harbour. Boats from over the UK and the English channel form Brittany.

Banjo's on Looe's Banjo pier

The Holiday season has now kicked off with party's on piers here in cornwall, and Looe's Banjo pier was host to Banjo's on the pier. The gig kicked off at 12:00 with strummers and pickers playing music for all to enjoy.

The sun came out too and welcomed the banjo players, visitors and locals, the town seemed to have the banjo buzz about it.

Looe will be ‘Making Waves’ in 2011 with the first Looe music festival on 23rd, 24th and 25th September, so come on over to Looe and enjoy.

The traveling cost's to Looe in todays world are high but still better than sitting in an airport lounge, with flight cancelations and proposed industrial actions, the extra few pence per litre could be money well spent.
